Video and Testimonies for A Broken-Winged Eagle Book

“I was greatly ministered to by the thoughtful words and encouragement in A Broken Winged Eagle, so much so that I read the book 3 times! Now I tell myself the book’s loving messages when I’m dealing with my own heartache, and I know how to be a supportive listener to friends who are grieving. Thanks, Laura, for sharing your heart!”

“Thank you so much for this book, A Broken-Winged Eagle. It is filled with such thoughtful and great writing. It is easy to understand for someone with my mind right now. I’d like to buy a few copies because I know so many people who need to read this book. It’s the only book I’ve seen so far that offers real HOPE!”

“I received your book today. Thank you for sharing these hope-filled stories with me. I like to solve mysteries and problems and I nearly drove myself crazy trying to solve the terrible puzzle of why my loved one caused their own death. I was consumed with guilt. I did not blame God and have found Him to be true to His word as He has held me in the dark, dark place of grieving my beautiful girl. Thank you for walking with me. Bless you for sharing your stories. Jesus’ Spirit is in your book.”

“This evening I found myself slipping into sadness so I decided to continue reading A Broken-Winged Eagle. As a therapist, a mom, a Christian, etc, I feel a need to always ‘have it together.’ When I approach people I want to make sense, even when my life is crumbling down around me. I was reading the Do’s and Don’ts in one of the chapters. In doing so I felt my mood shift. People are sending me scriptures and as much as I love God, I probably won’t open the texts. If I do read them out of respect I respond with a “thank you.” Because the ugly truth is I have to respect God’s plan but as of today I’m not happy with it. I don’t know what else you could say in your book but I am intrigued to finish. The most important thing that I want to say to you tonight is that your words in this book have freed me. I feel free to grieve, even when its ugly and angry. After reading this book I know that I am not unholy but that I merely have a hole in my heart. You have no idea how important this book is, or perhaps you do, but for many days I really felt guilty for the hurt and anger I felt. Tonight I know that I no longer need to feel those toxic emotions, that I can simply allow myself to hurt.”

“A Broken-Winged Eagle is so beautifully written that it feels like I’m sitting down with a dear one teaching me the art of LOVE. Practical instruction to use for those who’ve unexpectedly stepped into the season of grief while planting seeds of TRUTH into my own soul, as well. I am SO very thankful!”

“I have known the author of the book, A Broken- Winged Eagle, for over 19 years. So much of her story I have had the privilege of learning layer by layer over the years. As our beautiful friendship has deepened, by God’s arrangement, I can attest to the devastating storms of life that have required an understanding into the depths of God! God alone is the answer for the beautiful inner healing that has been made possible over the years in the life of my beautiful friend and those whose stories you will be moved deeply by. This new work is a testament to what can happen in the storms of life and Who the true life preserver is! For me, it makes me fall even more in love with God knowing how beautifully He has shown up in the life of my best friend. Her reverence for those grieving and her commitment to joy will give you a real and authentic way to process through your own inner healing or that of someone you love. When you read this book, it is the next best thing to having Laura by your side and walking with you. The BEST thing will be when you pick up the phone and hire her as your #Inner Healing Coach! You will be forever transformed.”

“A Broken-Winged Eagle is the kind of book that everyone should read because sooner or later grief knocks on our door without asking permission, and no one is quite ready for the devastating tsunami of emotions that follow. This book is incredibly well-written, and full of insights regarding grief and loss. Based on the subject, I was expecting it to be kind of depressing or gloomy, but instead it was dynamic, full of hope and encouragement. To be honest, I shed a few tears while reading this book because the stories are real, the pain is real, but then so is the healing. The author poured her heart and her own story into the book which made it captivating and educational. It helped me to understand how to show compassion toward someone else that is grieving even if I never experienced that kind of suffering myself. It’s a book not only for those who are grieving, but also for those who want to understand and help grieving hearts.”

“I truly enjoyed the book A Broken Winged Eagle. This the first book I’ve read in a while. First, what a cover! I loved the realness of every page. I took away many truths. I took the book on a business trip and couldn’t stop reading. Amazingly, right after reading your book a real close friend lost her job as the director of HR. Another friend found out she had cancer and another friend lost her battle to ovarian cancer. I was fresh with truth from your book that I was able to apply to each of these situations. Your transition to writing full time was right on. I anxiously await your next book.”

“Since losing my son Erich 4 months ago to GBM, and having dear friends that have lost children to cancer, suicide, a car accident, and an immunization shot, A Broken Winged Eagle has taught me how to see grief from the perspective of losing a grown son, and speaking with the mothers that are still grieving the loss of their own child. This beautiful writing has given me so much more insight as to the how, when and why to approach someone that is grieving the loss of a loved one. I encourage those that have this book to underline, make notes, and put this into practice! And, if you are in the pastoral calling, pick this up and read it! Your flock needs you more than you know! This book is for everyone. Those that are grieving, and those who know someone that is grieving.”

“This book is written with so much beauty and truth. It is helping me understand what a grieving person is suffering with. I love it and highly recommend it.”

“Wow Laura, this book is a work of art! So beautifully inspired by Him. Parts made me cry!! It ministered to my heart. I didn’t think a book could do that to me any more! Thank you for this contribution to our society.”

Video and Testimonies for The Master Gardener Book

“I was going down the stairs yesterday to read your book, The Master Gardener, and I decided to sit on a step for just a moment, I opened the book, and 3 hours later I finished reading it! I was mesmerized. This book is what I call anointed. This book is for every person to see what needs to be healed in their soul and for them to ask the Master teacher to take them on a journey of SALVATION, DELIVERANCE, HEALING, and for the restoration of PURPOSE. This is not JUST A BOOK, it is a MANUAL full of the principals of our Heavenly Father. He has placed the mantle upon you of reaching all those that you will bring this teaching to.”

“This book is a super treasure! I read the book and it is amazing. I love it. Thank you for being used by the Holy Spirit to bring such an amazing book! I think that it will be used as amazing material for connect groups and bible studies. I would love to have you provide us with a short video for each chapter. That way we could watch the video together as a group and then answer the questions for our spiritual growth. That would be amazing!!”

“I started reading the book and I absolutely love it. What a wonderful author and what a wonderful gift. Thank you very much.”

“Oh, my! Do I ever need some yard work! We just finished moving that huge bolder today and I think we’re just a couple of tasks away from finishing! Then starts the maintaining, which I’ve always been pretty lame at! I’m enjoying your book so much more even the second time around.”

“For me the book is hilarious. The way the gardener would just talk to herself and question everything and how she even sometimes mocked the Uninvited Guest. There were parts that had me rolling on the floor laughing. But there is also a part in the book that really made me weep to the point where I had to stop and get myself back together again. Chapter 9 was probably my favorite chapter. I saw so much of the gardener in ME.”

“Laura, just a quick note to thank you for your book. I read it within the first couple of days. It was easy reading and very creatively written. It was inspiring and convicting and encouraging.  I have already passed it along to a friend who needed encouragement in her ‘garden’!”

“I read your book last night for the second time and wanted to let you know how much it touched my heart and really made me take a good look at my heart and realize how much gardening I need. I really love the way you told the story and brought it all together. Thank you for your words.  This book is easy to read and I couldn’t wait to turn the page to see what I needed to do next to tend my garden. Please keep writing, I am sure you have touched many lives with the Holy Spirit that is living in you. The first time I read it I really liked it and thought it was good, but the second time I read it, it really brought it close to my heart and my heartache. I cried, I laughed, but mostly God ministered to my heart. I went home last night, sat on my back porch and God said, “Pick up Laura’s book again and really let it minister to your heart.”  I imagined that you were there talking to me, which made it even lovelier.”

“Thank you for the book!  I am looooving it!!!! I’m about to start Chapter 6 and it is great! It describes so well the experience I had when I started the new walk with God I began a few years ago. I always wanted to write it down. I can’t wait to finish this book, which I plan to do tonight. I have such an excitement within while reading it. One thing I have been reminded of while reading is that the faith-rest life is so much easier without weeds in my garden (heart).  I plan to purchase some extra copies for gifts and I highly recommend everyone read it!”

“The book the Lord downloaded into your heart and penned on pages is incredible!  I absolutely love it!”

“Thank you so much for your book, The Master Gardener! I love it! I love the questions of reflection and the prayers at the end, they are all so encouraging.”

“I am on Chapter 5 of your book. I can hardly contain my tears as I relate to my own past experiences, knowing that Christ died for me and how you are comparing it to the garden! I would like to purchase several more of your books to send to special friends.”
